The effectiveness of coaching can be enhanced by knowledge of both adult and child physiology. As adult and child physiology has some key differences, coaches or ‘would be’ coaches must be aware of these differences and adapt training sessionsaccordingly.
In essence, sports physiology is essentially concerned with the assessment of how the body responds to exercise. In its simplest form, physiology is associated with the collection of objective data upon which subsequent evaluations and decisions are made (e.g. fitness tests).
Coaches, athletes and students can welcome to view articles posted on our ‘Kaizen Central’ website for personal development and/or educational purposes. Each month new articles will be posted basic and specific principles of physiology.
