Kaizen Central grading rules

2. A minimum period of six months must be allowed for grades between 3rd Kyu and 1st Dan.

2. Address any instructor as "Sensei" whilst in the Dojo.

3. If you fail 1st Kyu you must wait a period of three months before re-taking the 1st Kyu grading, then a further 6 months must be allowed before taking the 1st Dan grading.

4. A minimum period of two years must be allowed between Shodan to Nidan gradings. A minimum period of three years between Nidan and Sandan gradings.

5. Members failing a grading must wait a further period of time as indicated by the grading examiner, before re-grading.

6. Grades taken by members found to be breaking the rules of the grading shall not be recognised by KaizenCentral.

7. Any Karateka from other Associations or styles, who join the K.K.F. may wear the belt of the grade they have attained in their previous association but, after six months regular training they must take a grading with an approved KaizenCentral Examiner, when they will be awarded the appropriate KaizenCentral Grade.

8. All Karate-ka must hold a current licence and record book before taking a grading, as the examiner will refuse to grade any member not able to produce these documents.

9. Under 14's must wear protective equipment when sparring. Compulsory hand mitts and optional gum shields boys groin boxes, girl’s chest protectors and optional: head guards. These safety measures are taken in the student’s best interest.

NB. The examiners reserve the right to amend the grading syllabus at any time without prior notice.
